The current state of DSP units targeted for the conference room seems to be missing the target in at least two categories: 1) the user interfaces are complex and designed with the audio expert in mind (as shown here) and 2) the user interfaces are typically written as PC applications adding complexity and limiting the deployment platform used by many IT people. In addition to these two primary problems, the UI designs for these products are typically by engineers. Interaction and visual design is often not properly prioritized.
